The New King Of The North

Good morning,

We are the Antifragilist, where we work hard to fill the void that the end of the Depp, Heard trial has left in your life.

This week we are going to look at ZeroNorth.

So, I have this super cool friend who lives in Denmark. You know the kind of cool that makes Johnny Depp look like a mere peasant. He is doing very well for himself working for a multinational company. A great salary, benefits (much better than US benefits), travel etc., etc. However, this Messi lookalike friend of mine seems to be getting bored and looking to make a change. Maybe join a high-potential smaller company?

Well, Europe doesn’t really have a great reputation for high-flying start-up culture. But I still wanted to see what was out there. That’s when I found out about ZeroNorth.

Shipping

ZeroNorth is a Copenhagen, Denmark-based company that uses technology to enable the global shipping industry to reduce CO2 emissions and optimize vessel operations while increasing earnings. Climate Change is a big a** problem and can only be solved by honing down on a niche sector. Maritime shipping causes about 3% of global greenhouse emissions which translates to 1 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide into the air. ZeroNorth is using data and software solutions to drive toward decarbonization and cut CO2 emissions by over half a million metric tonnes in 2022, up from 218,000 tonnes in 2021.

To accelerate the transition to greener global trade, the company recently raised $50M in series B funding led by PSG Equity, A.P. Moller Holding, and Cargill.

So, if you are as smart as my friend and looking to live in Denmark, check out ZeroNorth.

North

For some reason, I can only think of GOT references for this company (Sorry Not Sorry.
